HILDEGARD (HILDE) BOEVE
(nee SCHLEIVIES)
Predeceased by her beloved husband Gunter, and many brothers and sisters in Germany, Mom was devoted to her family and faith. She will be remembered in the hearts of her children, Gerhard (Wendy), Juergen (Lynda) and Rolf (Roberta); grandchildren, Christina (Matthew), Courtney (Sariah Middleton), Peter (Shay), Jessica, Lindon (Coreen); great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Callina, Karina, Brayden and Maximus.
Mom was an active member of the New Apostolic Church, and enjoyed the wonderful fellowship with all the members and ministers. Mom was born on August 15, 1934 in Kaukehmen, East Germany (now part of Poland). During the Second World War, Mom's family walked across Germany and settled in Meppen, West Germany. Through the church youth group, she met the love of her life, Gunter Boeve. They were married on October 3, 1954. They immigrated to Canada in 1957, and settled in Winnipeg to raise their three sons. She worked for Palliser Furniture, Comfort Division until she retired. During her retirement she enjoyed travelling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and generous loving soul.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Apostolic Church Canada Foreign Extension Fund, c/o 1755 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3N 1Y2.
We will schedule a Celebration of Life at a later date.
