SUSAN EDNA JOYCE HOUSTON
Joyce fought her illnesses with courage over the past few months.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Craig, her husband of 44 years.
Joyce is survived by her sister-in-law Helen Edwards of Victoria, BC; as well as her cousins, Shirley Bookbinder and Al Jeffrey in Winnipeg and Sandy Jeffrey in Scotland. There are many nieces and nephews across Canada.
She was predeceased by her mother Agnes; and her siblings, Beth Scott, Ellen Griffiths, Audrey Edwards, Allan Edwards, Doris Nicol, Sandy Edwards, Bert Edwards and Stuart Edwards.
Joyce grew up in rural Manitoba and Saskatchewan at CPR Station houses. She worked as a secretary. Joyce was involved with the Order of the Eastern Star No. 25, Dragon Ladies of St. George Anglican Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Khartum Shrine and involved with Craig in operation of Khartum Shrine Hospitals for Children.
The family would like to thank Manitoba Home Care staff who helped daily and also friends who kept in contact.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
