I spent my childhood in Winnipeg and have a picture of me at two years old, wearing my mother's 1940s style hat with a veil, and Florence bending down with her arms around me. She had very long, dark hair. Since then we have not lived in the same city but have exchanged Christmas cards and an occasional phone call. I am sorry that she is gone. - Posted by: Jean Brown (Cousin in Vancouver) on: Mar 12, 2021

We have loosely stayed in touch with Florence for years, exchanging Christmas letters and cards every year. I recall as a child, Florence once came to baby sit my younger brother and sister and me when mom (and maybe also dad?) were away with my older brother who I think he was in the hospital. I remember Florenceās dad, my uncle Mike Samoluk loving to watch wrestling and smoking cigars or pipe which aunt Carrie made him do out in the garage in Winnipeg. So sorry to hear the news. - Posted by: Ron Samoluk and wife Nancy (Florence was my cousin; her father, my uncle Mike Samoluk was a brother to my father William ( Bill)) on: Mar 11, 2021

Having known Florence for more than fifty years, her friendly nature will be missed by myself and my family. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Helen Buchkowski (friend) on: Feb 21, 2021

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Florence. I met her a few times and she always treated me with kindness. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Audrey McLaughlin (Friend of family ) on: Feb 20, 2021
