September 7, 1964 - February 24, 2021
Neil is survived by his mother Josephine Finnson, sister Lee Solmundson; nieces, Taylor Solmundson (Cody Cranston) and Lindsey Solmundson; brother Keith (Trudy) Finnson; nephews, Nathan Finnson and Seth Finnson.
Predeceased by maternal grandparents, John and Kathryn (Katie) Fedorchuk; paternal grandparents, Fridrik and Helga Finnson; father Fridrik "Kristjon" Finnson, and brother-in-law Curtis Solmundson.
Neil was born in Arborg, Manitoba and spent the early years of his life on the farm and then moved to Gimli, Manitoba where he graduated high school. He attended Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he began his working career. The West beckoned and Neil fell in love with Calgary, Alberta where he made his home and built his business. He made many friends along the way, loved to laugh and have fun, and when he had time away from his shop, he enjoyed golfing and fly fishing along the Bow River.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
