BETTY LETHAM
1928 - 2021
Betty was predeceased by her husband Ian, grandson Blaine, and parents, Charles and Louise Maloney.
She will be deeply missed by children, Barbara (Ken), Janice (Art), Russell (Debbie), Joanne (Ian); grandchildren, Meghan, Dylan (Candace), Anders (Tara), David (Katie), Ashleyy (Derek), Cory, Amy (Derrick), Julia, Lauren; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Brooklynn. Betty's siblings Donna, Laurine, Gayle, Lynn and their families remained close throughout her life.
Mom was a very social person and had numerous lifelong and new friends. She kept connected with her special friend Shirley whom she met in school. Many have expressed to us how special mom was to them.
Betty graduated from Norwood Collegiate and worked at MTS where she met her husband of 61 years. Mom enjoyed playing bridge with neighbours, was a willing volunteer, and an active member of Christ Church.
She will be remembered for her smile, sense of humour, festive spirit, and themed events especially her infamous St. Patrick's Day parties with green food, games and silly prizes. Another remarkable quality was her courage in coping with the adversity she faced in life.
Mom and Dad enjoyed many trips including to New Zealand, Hawaii, and Europe. Many favourite memories were made at the Brereton Lake family cottage.
We would like to express our gratitude to West Park Manor staff, her home since 2013. They treated her with dignity and provided the needed support for mom to live the social life she loved.
Her loving spirit will live on in each of us!

I have so many memories with Grandma: tea parties with fancy teacups, indulging in snacks we never got at home (like *brand name* peanut butter AND butter on a sandwich!), attending her infamous Red Valentine and Green St Patrick's Day parties with treat bags and silly games, big family dinners (with Stuff!), planning a surprise party together for Mom & Dad's 40th birthdays, being babysat by her and Grandpa when Mom & Dad would go on trips, blueberry picking at Brereton Lake, spying her in the crowd at my soccer games and in the audience at my theater performances.
