INGRID PILLMANN
(WILLEMS)
(nee SCHWENZER)

Peacefully following a brief illness and supported by family and friends, it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ingrid Pillmann on March 5, 2021 in Gimli Manitoba at the age of 78 years. Ingrid was born in Berlin Germany on June 13, 1942.
She is survived by her husband Josef Pillmann, daughter Debra Willems, granddaughter Alexandria Willems and sister Evelyn Gerhard and niece Illonka Schad-Jergen in Germany, nieces and nephews Ricky and Holly Schwenzer and Bridgette Houle. Stepdaughters, Lydia Empringham (Randy), Vesna Harland (Brad), Blanka Pillmann and their families; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, families in Serbia, Radulovic Radmile / Ivica and Mikica Katic and families, Sharon Dunn-Norm and family, Mike and Lorraine Habes and family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Margarete Schwenzer; brother Ginter Schwenzer and husband Andy Willems. After retiring from Sears Canada in 1997 Ingrid and Josef spent 23 winters "snow birding" to Magic Valley Park in Weslaco Texas enjoying the warm weather and the companionship of many friends. They moved from Lac du Bonnet and have lived in Crescent Creek Estates in Teulon, Manitoba for the last 10 years. Ingrid spent many hours crafting beautiful creations in quilting, needle point, and knitting. She has knit many newborn baby hats for donation to the hospitals in Winnipeg.
A small Celebration of Life will be held at Green Acres.
The family would like to thank the neighbours and friends of Crescent Creek Estates, CancerCare staff, Dr. Pitz and nurse Sonu, all the staff at the Gimli Hospital Special thanks to, Heather and Donna for their compassionate care to Ingrid.

Rest in Peace knowing you were loved.
