Suddenly, on March 10, 2021, Joyce passed away at her residence in Lion's Manor, Winnipeg.
Joyce was born on April 3, 1940 in the Gimli area, where she married and raised her family before moving to Hilbre, and then Ashern. After her children left home, she went back to school and received her grade 12 in 1984 and in 1988 graduated from Red River Community College with a degree in nursing. She nursed in Red Lake, Winnipeg and Gimli where she retired.
She was predeceased by her parents, Kazmir and Katie Kozlowski; brothers, Robert and Tony; infant siblings, Betty and Julian; and granddaughters, Belinda and Stephanie.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children, David, Fred (Nicolle), Charles, Pam (Rodney) Isfeld and Paulla (Darcy) Hill; grandchildren, Tabitha-Dawn (Jody); Calvin, Tara and Jessica (Jaret); Kazmir and Chad; Rodine, Christopher and Brett; Abigail and Jakob; great-grandchildren, Riley, Raine (Dan), Logan and Hayden; great-great-grandchildren, Cody and Gabriel; and sisters, Linda and Irene.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. As a result of Covid-19 restrictions, the immediate family will have a private service at a later date.
Special thanks to Lion's Manor fifth floor Supportive Housing staff, and a very special thanks to Fred, Nicolle, Pam and Rodney for ensuring Mom's needs were seen to during this trying time of Covid.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
