May 2, 1921 - March 9, 2021
She is lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Madeleine Pelletier (Jacques deceased), André (Diane Ukrainec), Philippe, Yvonne (Paul) Cenerini, René, Raymond (Nicole Fontaine), Arthur, Annette, Gisèle (Claude) Lachance, Jacqueline (James) Hiebert, Béatrice (Daryl) Patton, and her son-in-law Ken Orr (Olivia Stadnyk), as well as her grandchildren: Christine (Neil), Michèle (Terrence), Chauntal (Andrew), Marc (Shereen), Andréa (Milan), Lise-Anne (Ian), Yvette, Rachel, Normand (Michelle), Nadine (Marc), Liane (Owen), Athalie (Bret), Julie (Tyler), Michel (Christine), François (Chantal), Karine, Christian (Ashley), Jacqueline, Eric and Danica, and 39 great-grandchildren who were a source of joy and happiness.
Marie-Rose was predeceased by her husband François de Rocquigny (1975), her daughter Marie Orr (1999), her son-in-law Jacques Pelletier (2012); her siblings, Joseph (Marie) Allec, Francine (Paul) Marion and René (Corinne) Allec; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arthur (Catherine) de Rocquigny, Hilaire (Nathalie) de Rocquigny, Fr. Joseph de Rocquigny O.M.I., Louis (Alice) (Laurianne) de Rocquigny, Adèle (Ludovic) Philippot and Marie (Georges) Bernard.
Marie-Rose Allec was born in Haywood and married François de Rocquigny in 1939. They raised their twelve children on the family farm with much love, and taught them to live a life based on values that bring true happiness. They provided them with many opportunities to receive a good education.
Maman was very humble, discreet and reserved, but always there to help out with open arms. You always knew she would greet you with her infectious smile. Her words and gestures were deeply genuine and came naturally. Her generosity and gentleness were endearing. Her talents were broad and ranged from artistic abilities (singing, painting) to practical skills (knitting and being a kitchen chef). She was proud of her French heritage and her faith was unwavering in the midst of life's tribulations.
Maman, you will be missed more than
you could ever imagine by the large
family you have left behind, which is
trying to follow in your footsteps.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private funeral was held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., preceded by the eulogy and a video tribute presentation. You are invited to view the funeral service and offer your condolences at www.afh.ca.

- Posted by: Camille Légaré (directeur de l'école) on: Mar 20, 2021
