ZYGMUNT (MONTY) SKWAREK
1923 - 2021
Left with beautiful memories are his daughters: Patricia and her children, Harry (Suzanne), Roxanne (Jeffrey); daughter Colleen (Michael) and their children, Jennifer (Wade), Jason (Shelby), Rebecca (Anthony); 13 great-grandchildren, and stepson Lawrence (Marilyn) and their children. Dad will also be missed and remembered by his younger sister Joanne (Joseph), and many extended family and good friends.
Dad was predeceased by his wife, our mom Zdiena (Diane) in June 2018, after almost 70 years of marriage.
Dad was a hardworking man, working at Canadian National Railway from 1945 until he retired in 1986. Dad's job with CNR took him and Mom to Mission, BC where he and Mom had the privilege to learn about God's way. Dad never tired of sharing his story and felt very blessed for his opportunity to make his choice to serve and love God.
Dad also felt very blessed to open his home first for Wednesday evening bible study and eventually Sunday morning meetings, for many years.
Dad's love for God's way was unconditional.
Dad was a softhearted, loving father. He touched many lives and showed nothing but kindness to those he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. He enjoyed a life well lived, shared love and many treasured memories.
We love you, Dad.

Dear Patricia, Colleen and Families......Just wanting to send my Little Sisters in the gospel a big hug......."Precious memories, how they linger".....The Howard and Skwarek families had a close bond......as Jesus said "love one another as I have loved you"....I can still feel Monty and Diane's hugs when I would see them at Portage Convention...."Hold fast thy confidence, hold fast and be thou faithful unto death, let no man take thy crown"....Monty truly lived his testimony...Joshua 1:7-9 "Be strong and courageous".....Love from Linda Fetterly (Howard) - Posted by: Linda Fetterly (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2021

Sending caring thoughts and sympathy in the loss of your dear Dad. He and your Mum were good friends of my parents Cissie and Cecil Howard, in Winnipeg so many years ago and I have so many good memories of visits with them both. Thinking of you all at this time. May God grant Monty eternal rest. He, together with his wife Diane, were dedicated to God and family, unfailingly. He has finished the race, while keeping the faith. My sincerest condolences, Maureen Penner - Posted by: Maureen Penner (Friend/Acquaintance) on: Apr 01, 2021
