Dad was the oldest of four children. Born to Jake and Mary Wiebe in Winnipeg on July 24, 1948. Dad reached an age of 72 years and 9 months. He was baptized upon the confession of his faith on May 25, 1969. Mom and Dad got married on March 8, 1969, and were married for 52 years.
Dad is survived by mom, Betty, one son David of Steinbach and one daughter Kathy (Ben Schroeder) of Sarto; eight grandchildren: Brian, Stephanie, Vicky (Daniel), Kaitlyn (Tim), Brooklyn (Jordan), Brittany, Matthew and Abigail; five great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, one sister, two brothers and their spouses, along with in-laws, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Dad was predeceased by his parents Jake and Mary Wiebe, his daughter Valerie, son-in-law Peter and great-granddaughter Isabella.
A public come and go viewing was held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., following covid precautions and regulations.
The livestreamed private family service was held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., followed by the interment at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church Cemetery.
