MARGARET DORNAN
April 1933 – March 2021
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Rod, of 66 years on May 4, 2020. Margaret was born April 26, 1933 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to George and Edith Forrest and was predeceased by her parents and only sister Brenda (Wagar).
Margaret worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia and General Motors before marrying Rod in 1954 in Saskatoon and they raised their children on Air Force bases around the world eventually returning to Winnipeg where they retired. Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed petit point, needlepoint, knitting and sewing.
Margaret leaves to mourn her passing her four children, Kenneth (Samantha), Richard (Leila), Douglas (Leslie) and Beth, along with 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff of Lodge 7 East for their care of Mom for the past four years and a special thanks to her friend Len who looked out for her and brought a smile to her face every day.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
A private family interment service will be held when it is safe for family to travel.
