I think of Mr. Slivinski often when I am developing black and white film. Mr. Slivinski was my high school math and chemistry teacher, but he also ran the school darkroom, in the basement chemistry lab. Mr. Slivinski taught me procedure and respect for the process of film development. He was a lively independent thinker with a sense of humor and great respect for academia.
