DENISE FREDETTE
"It is said that the best part of your life
is your childhood and one should enjoy it
to the fullest. To a certain extent I'm
inclined to agree. Not a care in the world
and you just take one day at a time."
Denise is survived by her two sisters, Louise (Eric) Ellison and Ida (Aimé) Savoie; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Fredette, and Astrid Arnaud; and Denis Savoie, a very caring and devoted nephew and godchild; nieces and nephews, and a loving cousin Lorraine Fredette.
She was predeceased by her special friend, the love of her life, Dr. Claude Bernier; her parents, Josaphat (Dorothée née Laroche) Fredette; her brothers, Lucien (Alice), Paul (Fern), Joe (Carol), Victor (Yvonne); her sisters, Freddie (Jim) Wilson, Cécile (Gustave) Bergeron, Annette (Garth, Wayne) Tencha, Hamel; a special niece Diane DeMaré; two nephews, Blake Fredette and John Ellison; and great-nephew Stéfan Savoie.
Denise moved to San Francisco, California after 13 good years with TCA/Air Canada. She worked for American Airlines as a ticket agent. She loved the city for its beauty, hills, the Bay and the Pacific Ocean. She certainly enjoyed travelling around the world. Some of the continents and cities she had the privilege of visiting are: India, China, Africa, Egypt, Nepal, Brazil, Burma, Japan, Europe, Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong, etc.
As a bilingual employee (French and English), she was very fortunate to be part of a team to open an American Airlines office and to train personnel in the French Antilles.
Denise was very proud of her Canadian heritage, and after 50 years in San Francisco, Denise returned home to Manitoba to be with family.
To her loyal, caring American friends, the "Duchess" always loved you.
Claude and Denise were music enthusiasts who had season tickets to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Opera, and many concerts at the United Church.
She lived her life with love, humility and faith. Her journey on earth is over and she crossed over to be with her God.
Rest in peace Denise, you will
be forever in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place.
Due to the pandemic, a private interment will take place at the family plot in St. Boniface cemetery.
