FREDERICK JOSEPH TALARICO
April 19, 1928 - April 26, 2021
Fred was predeceased by his wife Doris in 2005 and son John in 2009. Left to celebrate his life is his son Tom and daughter Tannis; grandchildren, Sean, Lauren, Naomi and families.
Dad's greatest joy was seeing and visiting with his daughter and granddaughter Lauren (Kyle Binne) and great-grandson Lucas and our many trips out to Nick's for burgers, his favourite! Dad recently had heard of a new great-grandchild coming this November; happy happy news he said.
Fred worked for CP Rail for 38 years; receiving the Golden Handshake in 1988. Following retirement Mom and Dad spent many happy fun-filled winters in Texas meeting many lifelong friends.
Fred will be remembered by all who knew him, puttering around his beloved house and yard for over 60 years, always cooking and baking right up to the end; loving winter bbqs and growing great tomatoes!! Dad was always there to help everyone else asking for nothing in return.
The family sends love and thanks to neighbour Deanne and family for their friendship and love towards Dad over the years. Deanne, your support and love to Dad over the last couple weeks will never be forgotten, thank you.
According to Dad's wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.

Tannis, Lauren & Kyle So, so sorry for your loss. Fred was a quiet & lovely man to be around. I remember that everytime I saw him, he always had a little smile for everyone. He definitely cared about his appearance & was always impeccably dressed. He will be missed. Donna - Posted by: DONNA TOEWS (friend) on: May 03, 2021

My condolences on your loss. I have such fond memories of times with Auntie Doris and Uncle Fred. One of the last outings my Mom, Della, had was a sunny afternoon with Uncle Fred when he took us through the gardens at Assiniboine Park. It gave me such joy to see him give Mom so much joy when things were becoming so difficult for her at the end. Uncle Fred was a wonderful, caring, GENTLEMAN. My prayers are with you.
