Mae Frailick passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2021, at the age of 83 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terry (Chris), Wayne (Linda), Jeff, Susan (Adam) and Debbie (Creston); grandchildren, Terra (Luke), Kyla, Lianne, Marielyn, Poppy, James and Jake; great-grandson Rolan; sister Rita; sisters-in-law, Claudia and Iris; brother-in law Barry (Carol); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mom was born in Winnipeg and spent the majority of her life in Beausejour and Winnipeg. She worked at the Bank of Montreal when she married and had her five children in Beausejour. She worked outside the home in a variety of jobs over the years, before retiring from Revenue Canada. She enjoyed gardening, curling, bingo, watching the Winnipeg Jets/Blue Bomber games, and never turned down an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. She volunteered at the Morris Stampede, Pan Am Games, Canadian Legion and the United Way. Mom would do anything for anyone and loved her family very much. At holiday gatherings, Mom always greeted you with a big hug and gave the best advice over a glass of wine. We will always remember your beautiful smile, contagious laugh, witty come backs and sense of humour.
We are beyond grateful to all the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospital for their care and compassion given to Mom.
As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Good Bless you Mae, you were a good woman and always generous to me when I hung around with Barry. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Fred P. Rumak (Friend) on: May 16, 2021

  • My condolences for your loss. I have very fond memories of time spent with Mae and Flo over time at Bingo or having lunch. Mae reminded me of the character 'Maxine' because of her witty comments and her unpretentious nature. She spoke very lovingly about her children and grandchildren here and in England, as well as her niece Julie. She held a very special place in my heart and I will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Helene McCarthy (Friend and Bingo buddy) on: May 15, 2021

  • Terry, Chris, and family - we're sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is heartbreaking, and the pandemic only makes it worse. Hope you can find comfort in each other...take care. - Posted by: Alison/Jim Steele (Friends) on: May 15, 2021
