The Thomas family are shocked and sadden to announce the sudden passing of Ann Lorelei Thompson at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 12:02 p.m. with her son Ryan Nelson and her sisters, Grace, Judy and June at her bed side. Ann Thompson was born on the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation. She passed away from complications after undergoing surgery for a broken hip.
Ann leaves behind her sons, Ryan Nelson, and Rod Patrick; grandsons, Damian, Cole, and Brendon; sisters, Grace Smith, Judy Thomas, and June Thomas; brothers, Randy Thomas and Norman Thomas; numerous nephews, nieces, and grand-nieces/nephews.
Ann attended the University of Manitoba where she graduated with her degree in Social Work with a major in psychology in 1988. Ann loved to travel and lived and worked in Winnipeg most of her adult life, her field of Social Work took her to Sioux Lookout, ON in 1993, Vancouver, BC in 1991 Rocky Mountain House, AB in 1990, Seattle, WA in 1990, Calgary, AB in 1989 and Thompson, MB in 1988.
The Morris Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
