MURRAY VAUGHAN PORTER
April 5, 1954 – May 29, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Murray Porter at the age of 67, on May 29, 2021, at the Health Sciences Centre.
Murray leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 47 years, Rhona and children, Mike (Lisa), Matt and Melissa (Jim), along with extended family and friends. Murray is survived by his brother Tom (Bev), sister Janet (Bob), sisters-in-law, Nancy, and Dodie (Curt), brothers-in-law, Ken, Bill and Ed. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Ken, and sisters-in-law, Carole and Tanis.
Despite many physical challenges, Murray was not one to sit idle, and will be remembered as an incredible and creative builder and for the joy he took in zealously embracing new hobbies and continued learning. Dependable, reliable and quick to help whenever he could, he took great pride in his work ethic and enjoyed discussing new ideas and projects with those he loved.
The family is extremely grateful to all the medical professionals who helped Murray along his journey.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, if anyone feels it necessary, Murray would have appreciated donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, or any charity of your choice.
