VIOLET EDITH RUMSEY
(nee MULVENNY)
March 4, 1929 - May 30, 2021

Quietly, in her 93rd year, Vi left us to join late husband Lloyd Rumsey, sister Eileen (Marie) MacDonald and brother Ray Mulvenny.
Mourning and ever missing her are son Bradford Rumsey of Winnipeg; daughter Linda (Brian) Yurkiw of Las Vegas, NV; grandsons, Jeffrey and Bradford Yurkiw of San Francisco Bay, CA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Due to restraints, there will be no service at this time. A post Covid memorial tea is planned for later.
Please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice in Vi's name.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Condolences to Brad and Linda from Pat (Brown) and Bill Dales. I often think of the years I boarded at your home on Mulvey Avenue (when you were little). We were fortunate to have a visit with your Mom several years ago when we were in Winnipeg. - Posted by: Pat Dales (Friend) on: Sep 22, 2021

  • Condolences to Brad, Linda and all the family circle from Edith and William, Kilkeel, Northern Ireland, the town Vi's dad left in 1923. Such a lovely lady who we had the pleasure of meeting many times. Will always be remembered with love and affection. - Posted by: Edith (Mulvenny) McKnight (Cousin) on: Jun 17, 2021

  • I will always remember my Aunt as a lady who never missed a family event put on by her brother, Barry, even if it meant 2 buses and she wasn’t feeling 100% (at 90 years old). She was a very kind woman who never came empty handed, even though it wasn’t necessary. You will be missed Auntie Vi, by myself and the rest of my extended family, sister, father, and all our children. Xoxo - Posted by: Shannon Govereau (Niece) on: Jun 10, 2021
