HARRY SMOOK
April 20, 1931- June 6, 2021
He loved to be known by how strong he was! He had many stories of wrestling, fighting and how he could hold my grandma up with one hand!
He enjoyed being a truck driver in his younger years. He also had many stories of the people he met in his travels.
He spoke four languages, Ukrainian, Russian, French and English.
He loved to cook and leased a restaurant in the Sutherland Hotel in Winnipeg. His specialty was perogies. The best ones I have eaten and have never found anyone else's that stand up.
The biggest love in his life was my Grandma. She passed in 1994 and he lived a long time without her. Now they will be together again.
Harry will be buried at Chapel Lawn beside my Grandmother.
I want to thank Heritage Life Personal Care Home for the wonderful nurses and staff that took care of him in his last couple of years. Alzheimer's is not an easy disease to deal with.
I am also happy that I was able to be by his side for the end of his life. He can rest now.
