MARY MARGARET MYKYTYN
October 15, 1926 - June 22, 2021
She is survived by her son Ron, brother Michael and sister-in-law Bernice Mandzik, brother-in-law Alvin Rogers, nephew Mark (Pina) Mandzik (Bauer, Parker), and nephew Adam (Melissa) Rogers.
Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, sister Joan, father George and mother Jadwiga.
Mom was one of the original employees of Sears Polo Park when it first opened from 1963 to 1981 where she worked very hard and diligently on the telephone order board. Mom was a very proud person and her physical appearance was a priority, especially her weekly hair appointments. Mom enjoyed six trips to Hawaii, five with husband Bill and one with son Ron. She also enjoyed trips to Grand Forks, Fargo, and the Shooting Star Casino.
Mom was an exceptional homemaker and cook, especially her Ukrainian cuisine and Christmas baking.
Many thanks to nurse Linda and all the other wonderful staff at the Victoria General Hospital Geriatric Ward, who were so kind and caring to Mom in her final weeks. A special thanks to Dr. Sheila Domke who also provided care to Mom for many years.
Mom was laid to rest beside her beloved husband Bill on June 29, 2021 at Green Acres Cemetery.
