DENNIS WAYNE ROBINSON
1942 - 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Wayne Robinson announces his passing away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 79. Born June 23, 1942.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Nathan. Dennis is also fondly remembered by his brothers, Doug, Don (Cath) and Ron, and his sister-in-law Helen Piche. Dennis was recently predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Shirley (Brewer); his parents, Edna and John; his sisters, Marie Risebrough and Kathaleen Dance; and his brother Clarence (Sonny). Many nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
Born and raised in Collingwood, Dennis was active in the local hockey scene and worked for the school board in Barrie before moving to Winnipeg about 40 years ago. It was in Winnipeg he met the love of his life and was employed by the Salvation Army for 19 years. He later worked at The Bay and Wal-Mart, where many still remember his smile and good nature. A warm and kind man, he took great pleasure in helping those less fortunate and sharing his faith.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Extendicare Oakview Place for looking after Dennis over the last year.
Graveside service will take place for family Thursday, July 8 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in Winnipeg. To join the livestream please contact Chapel Lawn for the link.
