DIANNA (FRIESEN) REIMER
January 4,1948 - July 4, 2021
Dianna was born in Steinbach, the ninth of twelve children, to Jacob and Katharina (Harder) Friesen of Steinbach, MB. She grew up on the farm and attended the local school.
She married Ben R. Reimer on January 2, 1965, and raised three children. They lived in Steinbach, Winnipeg, Surrey, BC, New Bothwell, MB and returned to Winnipeg in 1991.
Dianna worked in the kitchen at St. Amant Centre for close to 25 years where she had a reputation as a hard-working and reliable member of the staff, rarely missing a day of work.
Mom was a hard worker, honest, earnest, loved reading books, was an excellent cook of much-loved Mennonite dishes, doting grandmother, lover of dogs (but not cats!), and she kept up on the activities of her many relatives. She was happiest to have family visit and spend time with her, especially her children and grandchildren.
Even though her health was failing, she was able to stay in her home until December of last year. She then moved to Riverview Health Centre, where she received excellent care. Unfortunately COVID restrictions limited visiting, but she was able to visit with immediate family in her final days.
Dianna is survived by her children, Gloria Kerluke, Kevin Reimer, and Aleisha Reimer (Ryan Eyford), grandchildren, Jonathan Kerluke, Jordan Kerluke (Sarah), Lilja Eyford and Benjamin Eyford, great-granddaughter Scarlett Kerluke, siblings, Tina (Johan) Peters, John (Sharon) Friesen, Mary Reimer, Edna (Elmer) Schultz, Alvina Wiebe, Elmer (Gaille) Friesen, Joyce (Wayne) Kroker, and Delbert Friesen, sisters-in-law, Anne Reimer, Olga Reimer, and Helen Goschke and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Ben (2009), son-in-law John Kerluke (2018), parents, Jacob and Katharina Friesen, sister Leona in infancy, parents-in-law, Ben D. and Elizabeth Reimer, brothers. George Friesen and Jake (Marge) Friesen, brothers-in-law, Elvin Reimer, Joe Reimer, Abe Reimer, and Abe Wiebe.
The family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion during Dianna's time there.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, the Manitoba Lung Association or Riverview Health Centre.
A private service will take place.

So sorry to learn of your mother's passing. We worked together at St. Amant. Your mother was a very dedicated employee, always ready to lend a hand to any who needed it. Her family I'm sure were very proud of her. Sincerely Pat Chassie - Posted by: Patricia Chassie (Co-worker) on: Aug 19, 2021

Aleisha and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom. She was definitely a very hard and conscientious worker. She was also very proud of you and your siblings as she shared that with me many times when we had time to chat. She was also a very kind and generous person.
