LENA SEREACKI (KOWAL)
Date of Passing: Jul 06, 2021Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
1918 - 2021
After moving from Oakbank in 1939, Lena lived and raised her family in Winnipeg. She was a loving mother to Lawrence (Elaine Molgat), grandmother to Karen, Gregory, Michel and Stéfan, and great-grandmother to Xavier, Sidonie, Tassia and Paskal. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley and her daughter Elizabeth.
Throughout her life, Lena was an independent and resourceful person. She loved flowers and her garden, a passion she shared with Stanley. She regaled her children and grandchildren with her cooking; she was a superb seamstress, and the mittens knitted with love and care are still being passed down.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for the care and attention they provided during Lena's last years.
There will be a family funeral service at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, followed by burial at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a donation can do so in memoriam to Lena Sereacki at Holy Ghost Parish or to the Friends of St. Joseph's Residence.
Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)
Lawrence and Family...My heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Auntie Lena. In my mind's eye, I picture your Mom, Auntie Stephie and Grandma Kate together. I, along with my brother and sisters have fond memories of a kind sweet lady. My Mom, Jean, was also very saddened when I shared your Mom's obituary with her. May you be comforted by many warm memories. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Stanis Winiarz Steffano (My Great Aunt) on: Jul 13, 2021
Lawrence and Family, I was so sad to hear of Auntie Lena's passing. She certainly had a long and healthy life. I always remember her kindness and gentleness with all of us, as youngsters and as adults. And the wonderful family visits at your parents' home; her flowers and garden were her joy. She was always so proud of you Lawrence and would mention you often over the years. I am sure that her sisters, Auntie Stephie and my Gramma Kate, are welcoming her with open arms! Love and God bless, Marge Winiarz - Posted by: Marge Winiarz (Auntie Lena was my Great Aunt.) on: Jul 10, 2021
