EDMUND (EDDIE) FRANK RAINKIE

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Eddie Rainkie on July 5, 2021 at Poseidon Care Centre.
Eddie was the first born of Peter and Nancy Rainka on September 17, 1933.
He is survived by wife Marilyn (Birnie) of 60 years, and his two sons, Bryan and Allen. Eddie leaves behind four treasured grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a beloved sibling to his two sisters, six brothers (two sadly predeceased him) and many sisters and brothers-in-law. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eddie worked at Canada Packers and in the latter years for City of Winnipeg Forestry, retiring in 1995.
Family would like to thank Park Manor Day Program, the amazing Home Care Staff, and the Poseidon Care Centre for their wonderful care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a family graveside gathering in the fall at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.

That is how our whole family met them. Ed always had such a big smile. My heart is breaking for you Marilyn, who is a very dear friend, now with COVID-19 it is very hard to keep in touch, but Marilyn you are always in my thoughts and heart. - Posted by: Denise Funk (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2021
