CAROL STEINKE

It is with conflicting feelings of both sadness and relief that her pain and suffering are over we announce the passing of Carol Steinke (nee Chanowski) on July 18, 2021 at the age of 90 years young. Carol was born is Anola, MB on May 8, 1931 and passed away in her sleep at the Seven Oaks General Hospital.
With the assistance from homecare, her son and grandson, she was able to live in her home on Addis Avenue in West St. Paul until June 4, 2021.
Carol is predeceased by her husband Paul; her parents, William and Victoria; and siblings, Stan, Jean, Emily and Eddie. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Kevin (Chris) and Della (Stan); grandchildren, Corbin, Cody (Sonia), Dustin, Kaylin and David; and siblings, Frank, Mary and Mike (Jean).
Carol was best known for her large holiday suppers and desserts which enlarged many waists. She found pride in her carefully tended flower beds and the expansive vegetable garden that nourished her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Level 3, Unit 1 for their care in her final days.
A small family service was held on Friday, July 23 at Glen Eden Cemetery.
