ROMEO CLAUDE LAMONTAGNE
May 19, 1936 - July 25, 2021
He is survived by his wife; Paula, sons; Ralph (Angel) and Michael, grandsons; Emerson and Damon, brothers; Roland, Armand, and Fred and one sister; Rita.
He was predeceased by his parents; Raoul and Florence, brothers; Archille, Elie, Modest, Octave, and Emillien, sisters; Hortance, Laura and Edna.
Growing up in Marchand, Romeo developed many hobbies and interests over the years. He loved to work in the forest cutting firewood, picking blueberries, wild flowers, and working in his garden. His dog Pippy was the joy of his life.
His love for children was evident, if there was a baby in church, rest assured it would be in Romeo's arms!
Romeo was known to make the best "Hot Cakes", as he called them, according to his nephew Randy. Romeo's love for cowboy hats was evident, and would be certain to be wearing one as he dressed the part, while he took in the Pioneer Parade every year. One of Romeo's favourite sayings was "Very much so".
Romeo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Thank you to the palliative nurses and doctors and especially Dr. Allen for the care of Romeo during his illness.
Cremation has taken place.
Now you are with God
With no pain and a clear mind
Doing the things, you like to do
We will miss you
