HANS-JUERGEN SCHMID
He is survived by his wife, Sigrid Schmid (née Labrentz); son, Dirk Schmid; and several nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Horst and Gerhard Schmid.
Hans was a professional accountant during most of his working life and served part of his career in the cable industry. He was a member of the Accredited Public Accountants of Manitoba, the Certified General Accountants (CGA) of both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Manitoba. He also served as a national director for CGA Canada. Aside from work, he enjoyed cycling with his friends and mountain hiking in Alberta, and he travelled extensively in Europe with his wife.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Nicholas Tavelich Catholic Church on Friday, July 30, 2021, and was followed by interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
