MAVIS (LORRAINE) LEPAGE
January 21, 1930 July 22, 2021
She was predeceased by her husband John in 1999 and her daughter Vicki in March 2021.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Laurel (Glen) and four granddaughters, Lesleigh, Jaclyn, Dayle Rose and Mary Ellen. She will also be greatly missed by close friends, Elsie, Stephen and Christine, as well as the rest of her extended family.
Mom was always involved in our lives whether it was school, weddings, grandchildren or anything we did. She was always very active, whichever social club was available. She loved to play bingo and card games, bring a crib board and a bottle of rye and she would play all night.
The family would like to thank the staff and care givers at Poseidon Personal Care Home for all her care in her final years, and especially the way they treated her in final days. She died peacefully and with dignity.
She will be missed by all.
A gathering for Lorraine and Vicki will be held on August 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with an interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.

I first met Lorraine while working, I approached her introduced myself as Heather and that I was her nurse for the day. Lorraine remarked that her Mother's maiden name was Heather. Which I responded that I was named after the Heather side of my family tree. When Lorraine remarked that her mother was a previous resident at Poseidon, I responded that I had an Aunt who I would visit, before I was working there, and I named her as Aunty Laura my Mom's aunt, then we quickly connected the dots. After our introduction we became close I would drop into see her when ever I could, we had her over for many family dinners, my Mother was thrilled to be able to reconnect with Mavis, we enjoyed Christmas baking Lorraine was my tester of my rumballs letting me know if it was too much or needed a little more. Lorraine would boast about her cribbage capability, and was willing to challenge anyone. Family reunions with the family were her favorite being able to see some long lost relatives and to reminisce. Lorraine will be missed by everyone. - Posted by: Heather Morrison (Distant cousin) on: Aug 14, 2021

I had the pleasure of knowing Lorraine at Poseidon. I remember her saying "What does it take to get on a walking program?". She went on to become one of my first graduates. - Posted by: Jay (Friend ) on: Aug 03, 2021

I had the great pleasure of knowing Lorraine while working at Poseidon. Bingo, outings, crafts and so much more. We shared the love of Curling and dogs. It is sad to know she won't be there when I am able to visit. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Kim Lemoine (Friend ) on: Aug 01, 2021
