SIME (SIMON) PESUN
He is survived by his loving wife Berta, with whom he was married to for 59 years; their children, Igor (Maureen), Erika (Craig) and Simona (Patrick); brothers, Jure (Sonja) and Stjepan (Zlata) and their son Robert (Leslie). He was extremely proud of his eight grandchildren, Alexander (Andrea), Deanna, Natalie, Sonja, Helen, Robert, Patrick and Sebastian.
Simon was born in Prozor, Lika, Croatia. After he got his mechanic papers and worked in Germany for a year, he immigrated to Canada. He worked for the railroad his first summer in Canada then started a 35-year career as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. In his retirement he enjoyed travelling to Europe to visit family and spending time at Star Lake. He was a skilled handyman. He was a kind and generous man who shared his talents by helping others. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish.
Special thanks to our home care workers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on August 4, 2021 which is limited to family due to Covid restrictions. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Katolicka crkva Sv Kriza in Prozor, Lika, Croatia.
