URSULA SCHLICHTER
March 15, 1934 - August 3, 2021
She leaves her son Peter (Lucie), daughter Gaby (Brent), granddaughters: Kristina (Jason), Erika (Scott) and Melanie (Garett), and five great-grandchildren: Ryder, Alaina, Gwen, Max and Kai.
She was predeceased by her husband Willi, October 2006, as well as sisters, Erika and Christa, and daughters, Claudia and Donna.
Ursula was born in Bremen, Germany. In 1953, she followed her husband to Canada where she became a Canadian citizen five years later.
Ursula had a strong work ethic. She was a proud, independent and strong woman with a great sense of humour. Her family was very important to her and she instilled great values to all her children.
She worked as a bookkeeper for a veterinary hospital and always had a great love for animals. She had a green thumb and was a superb gardener; her flower beds were the envy of the neighbourhood. She was a member of the Anola Over 50 Club where she met regularly with friends to play cards and socialize. She enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks on trails, going camping, swimming with her family and was also an avid reader.
Ursula you were a great role model to your granddaughters. We will miss you but your spirit will always remain within all of us.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ste. Anne Hospital for the respectful and good care they provided.
A small private family service and interment has taken place.
Rest in peace forever Ursula, dear mother, grandmother and great-grandma.
We all love you very much.
