LINDA CAROLINE HENDRY
We are now left to treasure a woman of strength, courage and an abundance of love.
The love of Ian's (aka Skip's) life, the best mom ever to Tara (Matt), Dale (Nancy) and Krista (Ryan); grandma with open ears and arms to Julia, Eden, Hudson, Kyler, Brady, Marcus, Jane and Molly.
Linda celebrated 48 years of unfaltering marriage with Ian this spring. The life they built together in Winnipeg, Lake of the Woods and Florida was covered in their love. Everyone was welcome and accepted. Linda worked alongside her husband, building Allco Electrical from the basement of their home in 1985 to the success it became in their later years. Linda and Ian were inseparable. They took care of each other with an unmatched loyalty admired by many.
Linda was born on December 28, 1953 in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, the third of five children, to Albert and Marie Biberdorf. Although she moved to Winnipeg at a young age, Saskatchewan remained an attachment to her heart. Her yearly visits with family there were a highlight and a testament to her loyalty and appreciation for family. She will be missed by her mom Marie; sisters, Rose and Margaret and brothers, Ron and Ray.
"Family First" was how Linda lived; immediate, extended and friends she considered family. She cultivated friendship wherever she was. If you encountered her, you were blessed and she knew how to make everyone feel special. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She celebrated their individualities and loved them with her entirety.
Linda had a gift of creativity, seeing beauty in everything and creating spaces that were unique. She loved shopping and never left the house without her main staple what she was known for earrings.
Through her courageous four year battle with cancer, she had nothing to complain about. "I want to be positive," she said, and she was. Her confidence in God's control was where her peace lay. She did not display fear and remained a wife and mother, taking care of others unconditionally and selflessly with her actions and in the very end, with continual words of encouragement.
Linda leaves a legacy that cannot be expressed in words. To know her was to know a genuine woman: forgiving, non judgmental and full of pure joy. Heaven is her reward, well deserved her beautiful soul.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at The Winnipeg Art Gallery, 300 Memorial Blvd., Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live-streamed and available to view on Linda's obituary page at www.neilbardalinc.com. It will remain available on the website to watch at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Linda to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermont Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9.

She had style and flare and all of that was bundled into one person who unabashedly adored her family with every fiber in her being.
