BEVERLY JOAN FUHL

Peacefully on August 3, 2021 our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away with her family by her side.
Bev was predeceased by her parents, William and Lillian Harris; nephew Kevin Harris. Bev will be dearly missed by her husband Abe of 46 year; daughters, Kristine (Mike), Cheryl (Gord), Caroline (Johnathon); grandsons, Landyn and Jarrett; brother-in-law Ed; siblings, Lloyd (Bev), Donna, Dianne (Karl), Elaine (Kenneth), Judy (Ben) and Gordon (Heather); numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was born in Winnipeg on May 26, 1952. She met the love of her life, Abe in 1969 at the age of 17, later to marry on September 13, 1975. Bev was a devoted mother who cared for her three beautiful daughters with all her heart and soul. Bev retired from Patterson Global Foods in 2010 after 15 years of service. She then enjoyed spending many hours with her grandsons who were her pride and joy.
Many cherished memories were made at family celebrations and camping trips to various lakes in Manitoba. Bev also looked forward to winter vacations with Abe in Hawaii and Mexico. Her happy place was basking on the beach and was delighted to be out in nature. More recently, walking and spending time outdoors was something that brought her much serenity.
Bev was one of a kind. She was always gracious and very hardworking. Her extraordinary bravery, courage and strength in the face of illness has touched our hearts forever.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff on the 5th floor of Poseidon Care Home for all the compassionate care they showed Beverly.
A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba with donations being allocated to posterior cortical atrophy and lewy body dementia.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Abe, my heartful condolences to you at this time. You have my deepest sympathy and wishing you peace. Your friend Susan Dion (nee Johnson). - Posted by: Susan Dion (Friend to Abe) on: Mar 11, 2022

  • My deepest sympathy to Abe and family. Bev and I were friends since we were both 4 years old. Although our lives took different paths and we lost touch for quite a while, for many years we had the joy of getting together at Bev and Abe’s to talk about our lives and family and play Aggravation. Bev and I played against Abe and Gary. We were quite the team! I will really miss her. - Posted by: Bonnie Gillespie (Friend) on: Aug 08, 2021

  • Abe, Ed and family. Please accept our condolences in the passing of Bev. She was a wonderful person. She was always so kind to me and Jerry. God bless you all. Love, Sheila and Jerry. - Posted by: Sheila & Jerry Petznik (Friend) on: Aug 07, 2021

  • My heart goes out to all of Bev's family in this difficult time. While distance has kept our families apart for many years, I will always remember my cousin as a kind and happy person. She was always a favourite of my mother's and sadly suffered from the same illness that took Helga as well. May she be at peace. Love to all Nancy (Bartholomew) Lehmkuhl - Posted by: Nancy Lehmkuhl (Cousin) on: Aug 07, 2021
