DALE LANGILLE
May 1, 1932 - August 10, 2021
Dale was born on May 1, 1932 and was raised in Brandon, Manitoba where she met her future husband, Willis Langille, at the local roller rink.
Dale served in the Air Force as a radar operator through the Korean War before she and Willis were married in 1953. After the war, the couple worked various jobs as young people, Dale being particularly fond of her time as a hairdresser.
The couple had two children, Katharine and Rick, and moved to many cities around the Prairies before settling on a farm south of Stonewall in 1969.
Dale spent many good years at the farm where she bred and raised Pembroke Welsh Corgis, producing many Canadian Kennel Club champions with her Carmarthen Kennels. She was particularly fond of Dyved, Ceilidh, and Ozzie.
Dale retired from her life as an entrepreneur and dog breeder but continued to live an active social life, always making plans with friends or family.
Dale was a grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who is survived by daughter Katharine, son Rick (Brenda); grandchildren, Matthew (Jocelyne), William (Aleeya), Mirela (Treva), Daniel (Shea), Taylor, Connor (Kristin), Lindsay (Andrew); niece Mary-Jane (Harvey); great-grandchildren, Delonna, Allan, Willow, and Jonah. She was predeceased by first husband Willis in 1989, second husband Bill Shields in 2007, sister Grace in 2015, and nephew Joey last year.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A private service will be held at a later date.

Dear Kathy & Rick & family I am so very sorry to hear of Dale’s passing! Your Mom was so very kind and encouraging to me-especially when she discovered I too had entered the dog fancy world too! Her last trip to a Thunder Bay show, she made me promise to join Lakehead Kennel Club & I am still a member! Know my thoughts & prayers are with you! - Posted by: Anna Boesch (Friend) on: Aug 19, 2021

I'm going to miss bumping into you at dog shows. Certainly enjoyed all our years together promoting the Welsh Corgis and working together on the shows and the club. Sorry for your loss Kathy. - Posted by: Lois Heinrichs (Friend through Corgis) on: Aug 19, 2021

To Dale's family I am so sorry for your loss, Dale was an amazing lady. First time I met her we were at a dog show, as time went on we attend shows together. Dale always scared me, she was like a second mom in some ways, lol. I honestly expected to get grounded on several occasions, but I wouldn't change a thing. There was one show we were heading to, I am pretty sure it was Kenora. Anyways, we went in the van, oh my gosh by the time we packed up we almost left without the dogs. But Dale kept us inline, even at the shows no games. But did we have fun, if you knew Dale there was a side she try to hide but someone could get her laughing. When I read this today I burst into tears, the world has lost an amazing lady. Dale was loved by so many people, he dogs were a very big part of her life. I never had a chance to meet her first husband, but I did meet her second. The day I met him Dale was glowing when she introduced us, by this time everyone had pretty much gone in different directions. I miss those days, now I will miss Dale. Thank you Dale for the precious memories, I will see you again someday. With so much love and respect, Sammy - Posted by: Sam Pshyshlak (Dog Show Buddy) on: Aug 16, 2021

Dear Katharine, Rick and families, with deepest sympathies on your mom's passing. Dale was such a wonderful friend and support to my late mom Lorraine. She was so down to earth, honest, out spoken, and such a strong woman. She will be missed. - Posted by: Margo L Matwychuk (daughter of her friend Lorraine Sigvaldason) on: Aug 15, 2021
