ROGER BUTTON

Roger Frederick Button passed peacefully on August 12, 2021. Roger was a miracle baby, born on February 5, 1940 prematurely at 1 lb. 10 oz. at St. Boniface Hospital, where the Grey Nun sisters built the first incubator for him.
Roger loved vehicles and spent his working life driving, first for Glenwood Draperies, then Northern Messenger and later with Moore's and Unicity Taxi. He owned car 13 until he retired.
Roger was passionate about politics, history and particularly battles. He had a phenomenal memory for dates and details. He was an avid sports fan and a strong Blue Bomber supporter. His sweet tooth was legendary in the family.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Kathryn (nee Mattern) Button as well as his step-siblings, Haroldine (Dolly) Casselman and Donald Marsh. He is survived by his sister Arla Sidebottom and her children, Kathy McCaw, Thomas Sidebottom and Diane Sidebottom and their spouses and children.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their care and compassion.
A private family service has been held.
