EDWARD KENNETH LEMAIRE
November 5, 1943 – August 18, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Lemaire on August 18, 2021.
Eddy will be deeply missed by his wife Karen and their two children, Cara (Craig) and Dave (Sam). He will be lovingly remembered as Papa by his grandsons, Blake, Drew and Aiden. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Eleanor; brother Dave; father-in-law Barney and sister-in-law Marlene.
Eddy was born in Mackenzie Island and grew up in Red Lake, Ontario. He worked at Campbell and Griffith Mines before meeting the love of his life, Karen. In 1971 he followed her back to her hometown of Selkirk where they were happily married for 46 years. Eddy was a welder by trade, but enjoyed a variety of jobs throughout his life. Among his favourites were driving school bus and making ice, especially at the Petersfield Curling Club.
In the past few years, you could always find him travelling throughout the neighbourhood in his wheelchair visiting and joking around with anyone and everyone he met. Eddy touched the lives of family and friends with his spunky personality, sense of humour and kind heart. He loved fishing, golfing, curling, hockey, dancing, watching his grandsons grow up and spending time on his deck sun tanning, enjoying his flowers and the hummingbirds.
Our family is thankful for the genuine love and amazing support from our family, friends and neighbours. We appreciate all the care and compassion given by our special homecare staff (Janice, Joy, Audra and Gerry), Dr. Demsas, the ALS Society, Dr. Fultz, Dr. Ginannouli and the Team at Deer Lodge Centre.
As per Eddy's request, there will not be a service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society.

Condolences can be left on his tribute wall at
