MARGARET ROSE (AIELLO) NELSON
Margaret was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 5, 1925. She will be lovingly
remembered by her son John and wife Margy; along with grandchildren, Bryce and Sean (Kara). She is also survived by grandsons, Chris Goodwin (Shannon), Garth
Goodwin (Deanna); four great-grandchildren, Cadence, Gavin, Calder and Jordan; son-in-law Guy Goodwin (Lou); sisters, Phyllis and Diana, and numerous other relatives.
She was predeceased by her loving
daughter Linda; husband Norman; sisters, Genie and Connie; and parents, Maria and John Battista Aiello.
Margaret spent her working years at the Hudson's Bay Downtown. She was the
purchaser of music records for the Record Department for the Manitoba/Saskatchewan district. While Margaret travelled and vacationed in many places, and enjoyed them all, her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family. Her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy! She enjoyed the 60 plus years she spent in her home in the Riverview neighbourhood, and equally enjoyed the new experiences and friendships she made at
Dakota House over the last three years.
Margaret thoroughly enjoyed co-parenting Kolby, our shared furry family member; they are now united. In the last three years,
Margaret also enjoyed spending time with her great "fur" grandson, Hudson.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Deer Lodge Unit 4 East and 4 West, for their exceptional care of
Margaret. They would also like to thank the staff at Dakota House.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal funeral; a family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to "CoHabit"; cohabit.ca, or Winnipeg Humane Society; winnipeghumanesociety.ca.
