  • Dear Marlon, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you love your mom just from our chats during appointments and I could hear the excellent care you took of her in conversations of your family life together. I hope that you always feel her close by. Love Jane. - Posted by: Jane Robinson (client of Marlon's for many years) on: Aug 30, 2021

  • Dear Marlon, We don't know each other but I did know your mother as we worked together many years ago at the Charterhouse/Best Western hotel. Back in the late 80's she was my boss in housekeeping and years later when I returned to the hotel, we worked shifts in the laundry room. She and I got along just fine. Why? Because of our shared love of cats. We could talk about cats all day long and have some great laughs about how crazy they could be. At one point, our boss at the time, gave me a tiny kitten and I knew your mom would fall in love with him. I was warned before I entered the laundry room that she would get upset about anybody touching her precious clean sheets and towels, but I knew better. I snuck in there and she had her back to me. She had a bunch of clean sheets on the folding table and I gently sat the kitten down on it and he toddled across those clean sheets right up to your mom. Initially she screamed when she saw him but then she fell instantly in love with him and those sheets didn't matter anymore. She played with him for about 30 minutes and he was such a sweet little kitten that she just melted all over him. That was my fondest memory of your mom and I have thought of her often over the years after we parted ways when I moved to Georgia in the US. I know how highly she spoke of you, she was very proud of you and loved you deeply. I am so sorry that it was her time to leave this world but she has left her mark and won't be easily forgotten. May she rest in peace and may God give you comfort and peace during this difficult time. I hope that my funny little story about her makes you smile through your tears. She was fun, even when she was crusty (that's what she called herself back then). I will always have a special place in my heart for her. Sending hugs. Take care. - Posted by: Karen Dueck (Co-worker) on: Aug 28, 2021

  • May Myrna know the full glory of the Lord as she sits at the feet of Jesus. May God be with her family, especially Marlon, in their loss of a wonderful Godly woman, a mother, a sister and a friend. May God journey with you in your grief. May you know the comfort of your God holding you in the palm of his hand. You are all in my prayers and thoughts. - Posted by: Rev. Karen Lumley (Her son Marlon’s Minister) on: Aug 28, 2021
