ULLA MAGRETHE STEFFENSEN
July 31, 1929 August 15, 2021
Ulla was predeceased by her husband Verner, her son John Steffensen and her brothers, Ove Lander and Geert Lander.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister Lis Christensen (Poul), daughter Jo-Anne Steffensen, grandson Todd Steffensen, great-grandson Dylan Steffensen; daughter- in-law Shelley Steffensen, granddaughter Jaime MacKenzie (Scott), great-grandsons Samuel and Mathew; granddaughter Dana Steffensen (Jamie), as well as many dear friends and relatives.
Ulla was born and raised in Denmark where she met and married her husband Verner. Together, with their son John Steffensen, they immigrated to Canada in 1954. They felt honoured to become Canadian citizens. Ulla was a stay at home mom to John and Jo-Anne during which time she strived to master the language of her new country. She acquired an English vocabulary that rivalled most. Although Ulla held many jobs, she was an admitting clerk at the Misericordia Hospital for many years, proudly attaining the position of department head.
Ulla enjoyed family camping in the early years and the cottage at Twin Lakes Beach since 1966.
Ulla passed away with the same strength and dignity that she lived her life.
Ulla's life will be celebrated at a small family gathering where her ashes will join her husband and her son's.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, please make donations on behalf of Ulla to a charity of your choosing.

My sincere condolences to Joanne and her family on the passing of their mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Ulla, or more rightly Mrs. Steffensen as I knew her, was a wonderful woman who always made me feel welcome in her warm and loving home. I will always remember her for her laughter and honesty when truly needed at times when we were growing up. Forever in my heart. Kim. - Posted by: Kim Dorn (Family Friend) on: Oct 24, 2021
