DAVID TAK-WAI WONG

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of David Tak-Wai Wong on August 24, 2021.
Beloved husband of Cindy Chun-Lan Wong, loving father of Peggy, Pauline and Penny (Ian).
Dave was born January 7, 1946 (Chinese Calendar) in Toishan, Guangdong, China. His mother brought him to Hong Kong when he was 10 months old. In 1967, he left Hong Kong and came to Canada. He finished his high school at St. Paul's High School, and graduated at University of Manitoba, Winnipeg Canada.
In 1975, he met his soul mate Cindy in Thunder Bay, Ontario and got married on January 10, 1976. Dave was always happy and smiling. He loved playing mahjong with friends. He loved telling stories about his good old days.
He will be remembered for his warm and generous spirit, and big heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He loved and was much loved; and will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg. Please call Thomson "In the Park" at 204-925-1120 to be added to the attendee list.
