MARIA JAKOB
November 12, 1932 - September 11, 2021
Beloved mother of Marjan Jakob (Heidi), cherished grandma (Stara Mama) of Tanya Jakob, and great-grandma of Hunter and Ronin. Dearly loved by her brothers and sisters, Albina, Slavica, Franc (Milica), Joe (Lojska), predeceased by her sisters, Amalija and Elisabeth. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends who showed such love to her.
Maria will be remembered for her loving and giving soul, who loved to sing and who always had a happy smile. She took immense pride in her Slovenian heritage and in her enjoyment of cooking, gardening and her cats. Maria was also known as the 'family photographer' and relished in capturing those many memorable moments with her film camera to share with others.
Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Actionmarguerite, St. Joseph Residence and Grace Hospital.
Cremation has taken place and a Family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Mom you inspired us with kindness and
your smile, you opened our hearts to
compassion and filled our lives with
grace and strength through this journey.

Marjan, Heidi and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time, wish we could be there to give a hug. Teta Maria was a kind loving soul, she loved to feed you when you went to visit her at her house. She will be missed and we are thinking of you all.
