• Although we lost touch years ago after my Achilles tear and subsequent surgery, I never forgot Pat. We started off as Badminton buddies and that grew into a friendship off the court. I have nothing but good memories of all the time we shared together, be it on the court, or off the court, watching UFC, talking coin Collections, car modifications, or going to Coras for breakfast. • I have known Pat since I joined the badminton group a few years ago. He was very welcoming and often asked me to be his partner in badminton games, giving me valuable tips for improving my game. Even when we played on opposite side he would coach me and played shots to help my game. One year, around Christmas, as I was sitting on the bench waiting, Pat walked past me saying 'Happy Christmas' and dropping a mauve badminton shirt in my lap, not stopping for my thank you - like the 'Santa' on his way to the next delivery Thank you Pat, you'll be missed much.
