It is with great sorrow that I learned of Ron's passing so long after it happened. I met Ron on Squadron in the military and worked closely with our Safety Systems Tech for 4 years there. After leaving the military I had again the opportunity to work with Ron in an overseas environment and depended greatly upon his expertise for our safety during operations. Ron was a great guy with a big heart who cared about his comrades. A great sense of humor, sharing and always ready to assist, he lived life as he thought it needed to be lived. I have many fond memories of shared experiences both in and outside of work. Our lives took different paths since then but Ron did have a lasting impression and I am proud to have been able to serve with him and share many experiences both in professional and personal activities. Rest in peace, Sir. You will always be a part of the many people that have had the honour of interacting with you. - Posted by: Ron van der Voort (Brother in arms) on: Nov 08, 2023

We lived beside our Uncle Ron in North Bay for most of our childhood. Each day he came home from work we would great him and in return got a pink peppermint ❤️. One of the best fishing buddies to my dad ❤️ Rest In Peace 🙏 - Posted by: Melissa Herrington (Honorary Niece) on: Oct 24, 2021

Ron loved to fish, we fished every May 24th weekend on the Manatoulin Island when he lived in North Bay. He was my next door neighbour and a great fishing buddy. RIP my friend - Posted by: Arthur mcgaughey (Friend ) on: Oct 24, 2021
