JACOB PETERS
1943 - 2021
Jake is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, daughter Sherry, son Darrell (Cheryl), three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Dad will be remembered for his love of cycling and travelling, his involvement in the church and Lindenwoods Estates community, his kindness, generosity, and gentleness of spirit.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Drs. Robillard, Mattaliano, Drachenberg, Gingrich and Dodd for the care they gave him from the beginning of July 2020, through the surgeries, cancer care, and his final days in the hospital, the caring staff at the Victoria Hospital (5 South) during Dad's stay throughout his last week and a half, especially nurses Chantelle, Pat, and Doris.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021. I appreciated how Jake was willing to share his knowledge when I approached him on taking minutes in meetings. He was very skilled and willing to critique, always to improve what I was doing.
