Offering my condolences to all of the Schiak family in this time of mourning and earthly loss. I met Martha over 30 years ago when I first started attending Immanuel Pentecostal Church, and she was always kind-hearted and friendly. She introduced me to the art of making kombucha many years ago - she didn't call it kombucha (I can't remember what she called it back then) - and I went home with my first gallon jar of strange-looking tea with that "mother" layer on the top. I kept up the practice for a while, but soon lost interest in maintaining it. In the past few years, I have started brewing it again and I often think of Martha when I am explaining the art of kombucha to others. So today I raise a glass of kombucha to you Martha. Well done, good and faithful servant - enter into the full joy of the Lord! Missed on earth, but with hope we know we will meet again. - Posted by: Beverly Kroeker (Friend ) on: Oct 29, 2021
