Dad enjoyed many activities; refereeing minor hockey, golfing, travelling and camping. Dad loved to go watch the junior baseball games. Dad and Mom also spent many evenings watching sports on TV.
Dad had many work ventures in his lifetime; owner of Sunshine Window Cleaning, Referee in Chief and time keeper for minor hockey, refereeing for the World Junior Championship and courier/support for National Bank of Canada. Lastly, sales rep, packer and repair man for Globe Moving & Storage.
Dad was very involved with the church. He was a loyal member of Knights of Columbus and was proud to serve as Master of the 4th Degree. He was always willing to help out under any circumstance.
Dad will be remembered for his sense of humour and practical jokes, which were enjoyed by all of us, right up until his passing.
Dad and Mom loved travelling. Many years were spent in Texas, making memories and meeting special friends. At 80 years old Dad decided it was time to buy an RV and travel North America, and enjoyed summers within Manitoba.
We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care, especially Dr. Sam and nurse Neil.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Special thanks to brothers, Brunel and Marcel, and Claire's brother Gerard and sister Cecile for all of their help and support.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Boniface Cathedral, 180 Av. de la Cathedrale, Winnipeg, MB at 11:00 a.m. Covid protocols will apply. The family extends an appreciative thank you to Monsignor Comeault P.H. for officiating. Livestreaming of the service will be available by going to the following link http://archstboniface.ca Private family interment will take place at a later date.
