CARMEN GOMES
July 6, 1945 - November 2, 2021
Carmen is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Margarida, her brother José, her nephew José Antonio, brothers-in-law, José and Joao, sister Maria and her husband Manuel.
Left to mourn Carmen's loss is her son Manuel (Efrain), brother Antonio (Inês), sister-in-law Maria and nieces and nephews, Emanuel, Frank, John, Lina, Lucia, Maria, Tony and Vilma.
Carmen was born in Terceira Island, Açores. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 and settled in Winnipeg where her siblings resided. She enjoyed her family, friends and travelling to her home town in Portugal. She worked hard and was always willing to lend a hand to help. She loved her husband and son deeply and was very affected by her husband's death in 2002. Carmen was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003 and it slowly and consistently stole her independence and her life.
