MARIE VIOLET KASPER
(FAVELLE)
September 1, 1931 - November 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our sweet mom, gramma, great-gramma, sister and dear friend.
Mom was born and raised in Gypsumville, MB. and was the eldest of five children. In her final year of high school they moved to Winnipeg.
She met her love of her life, Al and they were married in 1953. They had 64 amazing years together creating memories and raising their family that meant so much to them. Jim, Tracy (Mark), Dr. Ken, grandchildren, Tyler (Allyson), Ashlee (Jonathan) and great-granddaughter Elsie, the sparkle of her eye.
She had numerous office jobs, volunteered throughout the community, assisted at Nine Circles and made numerous donations to charities. She assisted at introducing, managing and coaching Ringette to the River East area. She was also extremely involved in her church, St. Stephen's. She helped with Altar Guild, handicrafters, archives for the church, Sunday school and catering. Her faith was an important part of her life.
She cherished her family and friends, and was loved by everyone she met. Her smile would light up every room she was in. She loved her swimming pool, soaking up the rays, travelling, especially with her grandchildren to Hawaii, loved watching the Jets and Bombers, both of which they had season tickets.
She lived a good, long, fulfilling life and while we'd give anything to have more time with her, we know that she is resting peacefully and probably lounging around a huge pool, tanning and reading a book. She leaves us many fond memories.
She will be sadly missed by her immediate family, as well her siblings, Ed, Yvonne, Donna, Gord and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Al, parents, Donald and Elsie and many family and friends.
Thank you so much to her various health care providers and professionals, her friends on Greene Avenue, Kildonan House and friends who have become family. Special mention to her family physician, Dr. Duprat for her tremendous care and to the staff at Concordia Place for being so caring and supportive.
A service and celebration of her life for immediate family and invited guests will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, 2:00 pm at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Please contact family at Kasperfamily2021@gmail.com if you wish to attend as numbers are limited. Guests will be asked to show proof of vaccination and I.D. Masks are mandatory.

  • I was truly blessed to have worked for Marie (and her husband Albert). Marie was a very kind, caring individual who always had a smile for everyone. Marie’s gentle nature and thoughtfulness shone through every time she and I spoke. I was very sad to hear of Marie’s passing but I know that she’s with her beloved husband Al now. Rest In Peace Marie. - Posted by: Kim (Former HCA ) on: Nov 21, 2021
