LENA LASER

Lena (Elena) Laser, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2021, at the Poseidon Care Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Artur, sister Raissa Maslova, sister-in-law Vera Laser; nieces and nephews, Sergej Maslov, Gerda Bavasah, Erhard Duesterdiek, Karl (Joan) Duesterdiek, Heather (Robert Rowan) Laser, Ralph Laser, Linda (Jovan) Latisnere, Rita (Tom) Cubric, Martin (Alison) Boettcher, Karin Boettcher-Hawkins, Ingrid (Karl) Korporal and John Macloskie.
She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Alfred, Erhardt, Ewald (Ruth) and sisters-in-law, Alice (Werner) Duesterdiek, Lea (Otto) Boettcher, and one niece Karen Macloskie.
Lena and Artur immigrated to Canada in 1973. They became members of Mission Baptist Church and were faithful attenders. They lived in St. James for many years before moving into Meadowood Manor. For the past year they have been living at the Poseidon Care Centre.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Ave., with interment at Brookside Cemetery. Proof of vaccination and government-issued photo identification are required for all attendees.
