H. JOHN BRENNAN
He will be greatly missed by his son Michael; daughter Nancy Boyd (Marc), and granddaughters, Finlay, Ava and Isla; plus his sisters, Doreen, Teresa and Joyce, his brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Barb and sister Marie.
We are left with wonderful memories, his love of music, cars, golf and of course the guidance he gave to all of us over the years. His sense of humour will also be remembered by all.
John was a career banker and retired from Private Banking at CIBC. In retirement he continued as a financial advisor using his sense of clarity, integrity and honesty as he helped his clients, family and friends manoeuver through the stock market, with great success. We are very grateful for all he accomplished for us.
Our thanks to all at Simkin Centre for their care and help in John's final days. Also, thanks to Dr. Jack Rusen, his doctor of many years, and the companions that helped with his care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I am saddened for your loss Nancy and Michael. I worked with your Father for several years and I only have fond memories of working with him. I remember him being so proud of you both. I remember his dedication of more than 40+ years service at CIBC, his interesting stories, and sense of humor. He was a huge reason why that was the best job I ever had. He was more than a colleague but also a Friend and I felt that he truly cared for the people he worked with and also his Clients, many also became Friends. Although I moved out of province and lost touch, I have never forgotten Him or those memories. He was truly "one of a kind". - Posted by: Wanda W (past co-worker) on: Jan 17, 2022

When I transferred to another downtown branch of CIBC, John was the manager at that time. He was very passionate about banking; that may be one reason why I stayed on with CIBC and banking for so many years. He taught me much and actually allowed me to assist him with some of his clients. He was always very professional and a true gentleman but he also had a sense of humor. I will never forget him. My condolences to his family on their great loss. - Posted by: Angela (former co-worker at CIBC) on: Dec 18, 2021

I met John in 1985 and was a big part of my life. I knew very quickly that he was a man of honesty and integrity who would help with anything he could. I learned so many things from him and he was so passionate about banking and animals. He loved to talk about stocks and analyzing them. This went right over my head but I really enjoyed listening none the less. He was always interested in things he could learn from anyone as well. I will miss talking to him about everything under the sun. Thank you for all the good times and the importance of honesty and integrity you taught me. You will be forever in my thoughts my friend. - Posted by: Chris (Friend ) on: Dec 13, 2021
