HENRY LASSLO
May 11, 1945 December 6, 2021
Born in Bad Harzburg, Germany
Beloved husband, he leaves behind his wife Deborah. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna in 1983.
They were the only survivors of their family to leave war-torn Europe in 1947. They first immigrated to the U.S. where Henry got his education. Then it was their dream to come to Canada and they did so in 1965.
Henry flourished here working as a traffic manager in the transportation sector. First, with Meadows Transport, then ASEA where he met his future wife. Most of his career was spent working for SAAN Stores where he held a leadership role. After leaving SAAN Stores, he had a few consultant positions. Finally retiring in 2011 he enjoyed some travel to Hawaii, Egypt, Canary Islands and Germany.
With gratitude to the paramedics, Cindy and Dr. Smith and the staff at Grace Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery.

Very sorry to hear of Henry's passing. Henry hired me at Saan back in 1994, and that was my first real job. I'll always remember him for that, and for being a no-nonsense but really nice man. - Posted by: Peter (Coworker at Saan) on: Feb 23, 2022
